PAL Utility/Fighting Knife

How are is the USMC PAL utility/fighting knife. This would be the WW2 issue with the red inserts. I had a friend tell me they are quite rare compared to the Kabar,Camillus etc.

From what I can tell, Camillus and Union (Kabar) each made roughly 3-4 times as many USMC MK2s as did Pal. So I'd say they are relatively rarer in comparison...
