    No4 Sniper

Hi, here is a picture of my No4 sniper that I have been putting together over the last couple of weeks.
I have been after an original but always seem to miss out on a good one, so I decided to build one.

I got all the parts I needed off the net (scope, mount, pads, etc), the rifle was one that I had in the back of the cabinet that I knew was very accurate (Savage) and I followed “Making up a useable No4 Sniper” article on this site (Big thanks Peter).

As I am going to use this rifle allot I don’t mind that it’s not an original, I think I will defiantly have fun wearing this rifles barrel out though.
I will post a range report when I have time to get there.

What kind of scope did you use?

    Nice job ...

That looks like a very nice job - I'm going through the same process at the moment - if mine turns out looking as good I'll be well pleased!

    Shoot it, enjoy it!

Thanks for the comments, The barrel is the original Savage 2 groove and the scope is a No32 Mk1 that has been upgraded and remarked to mk2 spec. I did get a broad arrow marked center sling swivel but it has the wrong thread (must be for a No1) so I am still looking for the correct one.

    Go Savage!

Your giving me the itch to get home and get to the range.

MJ, don't take this personally, but that's crap.
