Why are some Russian SKS bolts painted black
I'm looking at buying a 1954 with Laminate stock
Price is $500 here in California
Anything particular to look for ?

black paint is normal on russian sks refurb, thats what they do instead of rebluing.

not all bolt and carrier are painted during refurb so if you dont like it , you can always remove it.
