    Bandoleer ID

I am pretty sure that this is a bandoleer for a Lee Enfield, so I think this is the right forum. Can anyone help with with information concerning this item?

It reads Hugh Carson Ltd Ottawa 1912.

You are correct, Hugh Carson made a great deal of leather goods for Canadaicon.

    1889 pattern

It looks like the 1889 pattern .303 bandolier, as used in the Boer war. Carries 50 rounds.

    Lovely condition!

    All the best

    Mike

The Bandolier is for the Canadianicon Ross M1905 Rifle. It was not capable of accepting stripper clips like the later M1910 rifles.
