Here's my CMP boltless racker after a few improvements

Saginaw SG #5836xxx, was pretty worn, though the barrel was in good shape. Came with the usual IRCO sight, Type 3 barrel band, M2 birch pot belly stock. I had an SG bolt already, so, since I'm not destroying the value of an original SG, decided to make it my "generic WW2 carbine". Dupage repro I cut high wood stock, repro "s" marked flip sight, type 1 barrel band that I bought from George before I realized it was probably fake. Sent it to ADCO firearms in Ohio for a repark job (If you are into ARs, they are top notch). They installed the sight and barrel band, so here she is! (came with push button safety). Total cost, About $650 including the repark

Leagle, she looks great! While she won't pass as original (not your intent), she is well preserved, all cleaned up and looking brand new. You definitely got your money's worth out of your investment

But I do have serious question for you... are you going to just stand there with your mouth drooling over how good she looks or are you going to take her out and shoot her???? That War Baby looks hungry, you going to feed her some FMJ????

    Nice rebuild!

Good find Legal. They are hard to get. My one shows signs of having been M2ish. Wouldn't mind learning more about this block. Mike.Attachment 15276

I agree with TR! Very nice carbine. How does she shoot? More pictures too!

Kind of like people not wanting others to know their SSN. Only enough info to know the serial block and no more.

It's just a convention people have gotten into the habit of doing. There's really no need to hide it. I just do it because I forget numbers that long! lol
