Hi folks,
I recently acquired a pair of 1935 Modele Brazilianmausers in 7 mm that are in mint condition, unfired, one is still in the grease, and other has been somewhat cleaned up. Both are totally matching numbers with the matching bayonet and scabbords. I have a line on a third rifle ( 1908 Brazilian) in a similar condition, but without the bayonet. I will get pictures of all three and attach ASAP.
These were imported to Alberta in the early 70's and sold for about $150.00 ca with bayonet and an actual target. I talked with the fellow who sold them and he said they occasionally still show up, but most have been either fired or converted to sporters.
While i'm not a collector, I still appreciate quality and these old rifles are incredible. I wish we could yet workmanship like this now.
The rifle that has been cleaned up is missing the butt plate and screws as well as the action bolts but I believe they are retrievable. However, I may need a source for parts.
Any thoughts as to fair market value?
