    Here's my restored Saginaw SG

Started out as the typical arsenal rebuild mixmaster with Type 3 adjustable sight, bayonet lug barrel band
Just got it back today from Chuckindenver who did a really nice repark and bluing the bolt and small parts
Saginaw SG #3538189, Saginaw SG barrel
SG Trigger housing, SG bolt, SG Type 3 slide
SG trigger, hammer, unmarked disconnector, SG recoil plate.
S marked rear sight, unmarked Type 1 barrel band (real ones from legit sources)
I've got it in an uncartouched Q-RMC high wood stock and TN handguard.
ETA sorry for the Promag mag!

Love the look. All the neat features, push safety, flat bolt, flip sight.
    Regards, Jim

    LE,
    Looks nice !
Lucky for you and Chuck in Denver that the barrel is a Saginaw without the deeply grooved milling lines. They make getting pad wear and flat spots from Bayo Bands about impossible to get rid of.

Curiosity makes me want to ask ....
When looking at your stock, I see a distinct line on top of the pistol grip's wrist back to where it meets the comb of the butt stock.
Think it was made that way? Or possibly sanded that way at a later time? Again just curious.
Either way knowing you, I'm sure it'll be with you at the range soon. Let us know how it shoots.
Enjoy and thanks for sharing another well done job from Chuck.

    Congrats,
    Charlie-painter777

Here's a picture of you Q-RMC Type II stock. Compare the wrist on yours to the Type II Q-RMC stock on my QHMC shooter.......

How are you liking that ProMag magazine? In the handgun community, ProMags are pretty much considered junk - but are they OK in carbines?

I just ordered three more G.I. magazines from the CMPicon at $15.00 each. I also have a few of the new Korean mags - they work OK, but I don't think I like the hold-open followers.

Just noticed that about the stock. Not sure why it's like that. Can't quite remember where I picked it up. As for the Pro-Mag, I bought about 10 mags from a guy at a gun show, discovered 3 were Promags, just put this one in to photograph the carbine.

There's plenty of wood there on the wrist to pass.
Maybe the guy was doing the finish sanding on a Friday night and the boys were waiting at the pool hall.
Or........ he was checking her out..... ;-)

    Cheers,
