    Feeble Attempt at some history

    At local gun shows, I always try to show some history. Here is an example of each of the eleven mfgrs, an M1A1icon, and 7 of the "Bavarians". Many stop and ask questions.

    Thanks guys.... In the case is a Code "42" luger with the plastic Krieghoff grips. It is a "rig", all matching, and is complete with letter from the vet's son about how his dad acquired the pistol. Also a map of Europe complete with marks of where his dad traveled.
    On the carbines, you can see pieces of paper on the stocks... Those have the name of the mfgr printed on them... Many questions from this...
    I know this display is crude, but it gets folks to stop and look. Plus, they can pick up the guns and look. Most folks have never seen these outside of a museum, and would never be able to actually pick one up and "heft" it...
