another question pertaining to removing a no.4 barrel

I have read of people soaking the different barreled actions in penetrating oil for several days before attempting to remove the barrel. Could this be of some benefit with a no.4 action? If so is there a particular brand of penetrating oil recommended?

I have used Kroil with good effect. Have a Loooooong lever on your action wrench as the No.4 barrel is usually on tight. A small amount of heat right over the threads sometimes helps. I clamp the barrel vise in a large and sturdy bench vise then use an action wrench with a 4 foot pipe as an "extender." When the barrel gives, the crack is like a pistol shot. Watch your knuckles!
