There are differences in other parts besides just adding the full auto only parts you showed. To the slide, trigger housing, hammer, sear. It's not just the receiver that makes it go full auto.

But the 2 or the 2 over 1 on the receiver is the big trouble maker, that's for sure.

You need the seventh part ( an M2 hammer ) to make it an unregistered full auto kit. Six out of seven , a collection of parts. Seven out of seven , jail time if not papered. Any reciever marked M2 , or an over stamped M2 , or one in that serial number range of those with the number removed , are treated as full autos no matter if they have the FA parts or not. Ie , must be papered. FA triggerguards , slides, stocks , sears and round bolts are not kit parts and are not considered.

M2 is the full auto variant of the M1 carbine. They are legal to own, but there is a process for obtaining one. About 6k will get you one. All the parts are just parts and not regulated.

Chris, you are right but I still wouldn't touch that kit. If that doesn't send up a red flag nothing will. Just ain't worth it.

and it is what it is. Now as being wise , well I guess that depends on if one M2 hammer is in his stockpile or not. Note that I'm refering to the federal level , state and local could have problems with this , so people need to know the legal aspects of thier own area.
