I picked up a new stripped Olympic Arms frame for my .22 unit. I have used Olympic frames before, however this one gave me fits!!! I had to remove a LOT of metal to get the sear and the hammer to even go into the cavity in the rear!!!! Also I had to file down the rear of the MSH before it would slide into the frame. It had very sharp edges on the upper front of the dust cover (and still does) and the lower rear edges of the frame handle.. Also the slide stop would not go into the frame until I removed some metal from the bottom of the slot. All in all a pain the the rear end!!!!! BTW, I used all GI parts except the thumb safety, and the MSH they are Series 70 Colt..
After I got all the problems ironed out, it came out real nice, however it was a lot of work and it is definately not a "drop in" frame!!!!! I have not had a chance to shoot it yet, however it should be fine....
