    Mk1 MLM CC clearing rod

I have recently picked this carbine up on a local on-line auction, question is, does the clearing rod's thread/thickness differ from that of a rod from a MLM MkII/MLE Mk1? i have tried to screw mine in, but it wont go & i wish to make up a rod. TIA

The design and tread are the same - just different length.
The Mk.I Lee Metford had a different design as it was a cleaning rod, but the carbine is the Mk.II design.

Thanks for that Rowdy, was able to sort it out & have made/modified a rod to fit.

Beautiful carbine, 5thBATT-----it must be a great help to be in one of the Lee Metford/Enfield's home countries.
More of the older Enfield stuff coming out of closets and sheds.
Here in the US it's all Springfields and such and nothing like the MLM carbine to be found in Grampa's barn.
Even caught myself looking at an '03-A4 today...
