I know this is sth africa

I don't recall what this means, I remember that its south african ... is it a government acceptance like broad arrow, or is it a makers mark?

It's on a PH5a, which I've never seen before. If this was sth african government accepted, would this have been a no1mk3 sniper or target team in the fashion of Australianicon army rifles with peep sights for pre scoped snipers?

The AGP mark, instead of being on this corner, is on the other side, which somehow indicates this was made at the PH factory to deliberately make space for this U mark, ie pre ordered for sth african use, which begs other questions such as what kind of order was this part of?

Any mad as cut snakes ideas always appreciated ... lol
