Bottom photo is surely Brits or Empire troops? - they've got puttees, leather jerkins and Britishwebbing..
Came from a web site that was dedicated to US soldiers serving with the Brits. Another image had said that the GIs were in Belgium. THanks...

How do we know its belgium?
Would seem americans attached to AIF (not british or empire) units in their "training phase" would be equipped with enfields

Notice the Lewis before they were taken away,and they inflicted the chouchat on the AEF.
Im sure the AIF kept that lewis![]()
