I know nothing about Enfields

I have a chance to buy a Enfield 303, and I know almost nothing about them.

There is a little folder, parts leaflet with the gun, it says for lee-Enfield No. 4, printed by INTERARMS, Alexandria Va.

Gun looks to be in pretty good condition, no rust, wood seems good, most markings easily readable.

The left side of the receiver is marked.

IAC Alex Va (which I assume is the import stamp?)
I'd be interested in any info ya'll might offer, including of course, a rough value maybe.
I know the old Military guns are getting scarce, and this seems like a pretty nice rifle!









Seller has no idea of a fair price, nor have I. Any info ya'll could provide would be much appreciated!

Looks like a pretty nice No4Mk2 made a Fazackerley in June 1950. Check for matching serial numbers on the bolt, magazine, and wood as this will effect value. Prices are different here in Australia so I won't guess at it. But it looks a solid proposition.
That model is the latest modification/model of the No4 family of rifles. I've got a few and I love them. They typically shoot well too.

Hey Uncle Alvah,Like bonesmith said its worth a lot more if all the numbers match ,if they dont its still looks in good shape ,just not worth as much to collectors.what ever you do dont sand the timber or try to improve the rifle.It might just need a basic cleaning of the metal.
