    Question Big 5 Carbines...UGH!

Was in a Big 5 Sporting Goods in So. Cal on my road trip. They had an Inland mixmaster M1icon Carbine for $999.00! It was AWFUL! it made the Rack grade I got from CMPicon to look like a museum quality sample. The metal had virtually no finish except a rust patina with some pitting, and the stock looked to be a beat up fence post that Charlie could not even save. On gunbroker it would have been lucky to break $500. THey had a Kahr/Auto Ordnance for $899. Maybe these folks out here have too much money to spend!

The Big 5 in my area up in northern Calif are willing to deal a bit at $749 to $799. Doesn't change the quality of the guns they are selling though, still pretty beat. Gun shows in the same price range. Just tells me that even my shooters are worth at least $800.
