    Those are being openly sold by some of the major parts companies here in the States. They are clearly repros and can not be mistaken for real except by the extreme newbies. With the real ones running over $1,500 each, alot of the re-enacters use them to keep from damaging the real ones. To be honest, I was thinking of getting one to put on one of my shooters so I could keep it tucked away under the rear seat of my truck (cheap but effective truck gun).

    Plus it let the young and immature pretend.

    I agree with Tired Retired that is an Italianicon reproduction. Not intended to fool anyone that it is an original. I have one on an GI carbine and like it, works well. I paid $125.00 for it several years ago. Can't afford an original, and if I could probable wouldn't shoot it. With the repro I can.

    I think I was lucky. I got a basket case a few yrs ago for $800. Complete M1a1,412xxx, Inland with a real stock but with leather replaced.It's no collector so It get used.
