Here's my latest pickup, mismatched bolt & a replacement Lithgow barrel but matching numbers to the forend & nosecap.

Nice find!!Most odd that the cut off isn't cut out...

Took the rifle apart to look for the mark left by the cutoff screw hole, if this forend had ever been on a rifle that had a cutoff, the mark should still be quite visible.
Here is what i found before & after cleaning, plus a pic of the mark on my 1911 BSA MkIII

Nice, have one that is almost the matching twin but a year later BSA with the cut off and windage sights all matching.
