    Not 1903's but interesting.

Workers pack rifles into wooden boxes and put them on a trolley at a rifle manufacture factory in the United States.

Workers fire at targets on ground to check the accuracy at a rifle manufactured in a factory in the United States.

Workers work on machinery to manufacture ordnance material in a factory in the United States.

Is the water the description states they are dipped in a preservative? Any idea whether it is Eddystone, Remington or Winchester?

Thanks for posting those! Wow! What a time capsule not just for technology but the way people worked & lived. (Or, if OSHA sees these clips, there will be suits filed retroactively!)

Thanks for the links, Mr. Petrov. I've already "stolen" one link for a thread in the L-E forum. With due credit.

I'm glad you saw this posting by Michael. I saw it on Joustericon earlier and thought of you. You like being in a machine shop, what did you think of the size of the polishing wheels they were using on the bolts?? And I thought my 10" one was big !! I liked looking at the machining operations they showed. That stuff facinates me also.

Did you view the link on the Watering Hole forum a while back about how they make Zeiss scopes?

    Y'all have a good weekend,

    Emri
