The first serial number is too early to be an NRA Sporter, and no listing on the second number. Sporterizing these rifles was common in the 1950/1960 time period. Some were beautifully done while others were rather crude.

The early serial number one looks like it had quite abit of work done and the stock extremely well designed, the later serial number one looks like it was more simple or older work done monte carlo stock, looks like a different barrel then the military one but both are dead on shots my uncle left these to me along with a steyr ssg and a h&k 770, japenese paratrooper rifle. I just didn't know much about springfields 1903's
