    carbines in Vietnam

If you can put up with the Army type film , there are lots of carbines and other US weapons in this.

This 1960s film shows how US Army Special Forces train the
Montagnard tribesmen to defend themselves and their territory
against the Viet Cong guerrillas. The opening narrator provides
an overview through which he describes the strategic value of
Vietnam's Central Highlands to the war in Vietnam, ...

What an awesome historical record that is. Of course it is propaganda but all the same it is extremely intersting.

kr6ng, thanks for the link. I enjoyed it, those SF guys back then were a rare breed. How about those "white bag" carbines! All gone now but would love to see the sheets of serial #'s they were recording. Thanks again.....Frank

We would just go bananas when we saw the montagnard women up there in the highlands because they wore nothing but a skirt. Some were nice looking too. Still cracks me up to remember a lambretta three wheeler with about 1500lbs of live porkers wrapped in snow fence. Stacked up with their snoots sticking out. Those guys were good soldiers. We and the Frenchicon just went off and left them to the commies. I'd like one of those Thompsons.
