    Where did my garand go?

The reason I came to this site was to see if I can find out where the Garandicon I bought was shipped to after it was born in June, 1942. I tried Springfield and was directed to their museum which informed me they no longer provide that service. That leaves me with other collectors who might have or can direct me to someone who might be able to help. Is there anyone here that help me with this? The rifle is probably a CMPicon rifle & the reason I say this is because the stock has been sanded and 98% of the cattouches are gone. SN 663841.

This question comes time and time again. There's no clear answer to that one. Some give reasonable guesses but apparently there's no record to that end. GCAicon has some records that give a possible place of issue. About the only ones we can come close with are the LL guns of Englandicon. I have one of those.
    Regards, Jim
