    QHMC Trigger Housing

I have a 4.71m QHMC. It is a "put together." I have a type III trigger housing in it. Riesch says at SN 4.5m type III and Type IV saw mixed use. Ruth says type IVs came into use in Spring '44. Mine is a March/April '44 production date. Does anyone know the latest SN for QHMC that had a confirmed type III trigger housing? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you need a type 4, but you might be in the transition period.

That was my thought. I'd hate to get rid of a correct part when i don't need to

Marked Q-NL. I just got some info that said the in the March 2006 Carbine Club newsletter (issue #334) some late Qualitys in the 4.79M - 4.80 range were still using the T3 TH. I believe my 4.71m is in that transition period, so perhaps I'm good to go. Larry

Yes but should'nt it be marked NL-Q instead of QN-L?

According to Riesch, Type IIIs were marked both ways NL-Q and Q-NL). Ruth only lists NL-Q type III. Early type II housing were marked Q-NL also according to Riesch and Ruth. Ruth is a little more precise in his dates, so perhaps I do not have the correct type III.

I think that you need a NL-Q and they are tough to find!

Probably easier to find a Type IV Q-TX.
