Personally, I like the idea of putting some effort into preserving a rifle ... and also of keeping a written and photographic record. As the metal has already been polished previously, it wouldn´t be too difficult to rust blue and the effect is always very worth while. Same as the input of limitless elbow grease (TLC) into linseeding and polishing the (very nice) wood. The only worry might be that it looks too good to shoot. Thanks for the blog!
