    Portugese Pair

    Hello all,

I only own two mausers so I thought I would show them here for my first post. Both 41 Portugese Contracts with matching bayo's and very tidy. One stock appears to be glossier than the other.
    Enjoy the pics.

I had one of those many many years ago when they imported into Canadaicon. They were new and without flaw. I suppose I should have kept it...

Fine ones, store them well! A friend is using such a rifle as a hunting rifle. He got it with a soldered scope mount on it. He puts a scope on and was surprised how well it shoots. But please don´t do this with your beauties!

Wow! Those are beautiful. Are they consecutively serial numbered? Gosh I keep looking at the pictures and they are in amazing shape and at least one appears to be still in the kosmoline. Have you ever fired either one of them? IF you cannot tell, I am seething with envy right now; I've been looking for a Portuguese Mauser for a little while that wasn't obscenely expensive to no avail or one what wasn't trashed out. If these are your only mausers then you have a superb collection. It''s made me jealous and I have many mausers!

    Cheers

    Thanks for the comments.

No haven't fired either of them and no they aren't consecutively numbered. Actually I have acquired a third rifle in the same condition without the bayonet but I haven't received my permit yet. I'll take a snap when it arrives.

Sheesh, where is your time machine? Clearly you've gone back in time to get these guys. They are beauts and the newest one goes very well. Where did you find it?
