Mike, Don't look too sad about it. It is obviously a fake. I keep saying that I am going to buy a cheap repro folding stock to use on one of my shooters - I want a folder to throw into the truck, but I would never use a real M1A1icon stock as a shooter or as a truck gun. Maybe someone was trying to save a REAL stock somewhere down the line?

    Mike,

Someone will probably bid more then it's worth. It's value is the metal with a repo $150 stock. But if it's low enough, you never know.

I did that very thing with a Winchester put together. I always wanted a para and would never be able to afford a real on. I wouldn't be sure it was correct anyway. I had to put the other stock back on because my wife(the primary shooter)didn't like the pantograph stock. Then the receiver cracked alone the top edge of the bolt track.
    Regards, Jim
