    Borders Going out of Business

If you've had a book at your local Borders that you've wanted but didn't much like the price, they are going out of business now and currently everything is 20-40% off. Most books are still at the 20% level but it is expected this will increase very rapidly until the stock is all gone. I believe the plan is for the stores to be closed by the end of August.

I hate seeing any bookstore close, especially one as large as Borders but no point letting the bargains disappear as well.

History books are now 40% off, politics 60%, humor 50%. Most categories are 40% which is the minimum discount now. I think I'm done. Things are starting to get picked over pretty well in the topics I'm interested in. I got a few books I really didn't need but for the price they were hard to ignore, mostly the large format bargain type books.

Everything including history books are now a minimum of 50% off. Couldn't stay away and picked up a couple of Osprey books dealing with various aspects of WWI. I love Osprey books but they are too blasted expensive. 50% off, still a bit expensive in my opinion for a paperback but not bad.

Been going there once or twice a week since it all started. I'm going to have to build more book shelves.
