I think this falls under "Other service pistols" . With the M9-A1 the army introduced a Picatinny accessory rail. What is the most likely accessory service personal have hanging off of it?

M203 with a beehive round. Ok , maybe not them , but if'n I was stuck with a nine , that's what I'd want. I would guess , like us , a light or laser.

I guess what I am really asking is; what is who makes the army issue light and laser and what models are they.

    Thanks

Given the amount of options out there, it depends on the unit buying, usually with discretionary funds.

If the unit has a choice a Surefire X300 or X400 (light or light/laser), alternatively one of the TLR series. Those are the two 'big names' in pistol lights pretty much, so odds are, that's what they'd use.

During my time we had standard M9's and on the few occasions i had need to draw when an M4, M249 or M4/M203 were not in hand, i had a Surefire 6P or G2 in the other hand for illumination.
