    1903-A3 Followers

While going through my Smith-Corona A3, I noticed that somehow, somewhere, I picked up a spare follower- except maybe it ain't! See the pics. Both are unmarked, both are deep blued (the pictures don't show this very well- blame the flash). One has a small dimple to retain the spring, one has a bigger projection. Both are stamped, natch.
So which one is S.C.? Neither? Both? Help!

Well that figures. That's the one that came with the gun but I thought I saw an R stamped on it so bought the other one, which was represented as an S.C. After getting the old one out of the gun, I of course couldn't find the R that I thought I saw before. I guess it's true that the eyes are the second thing to go. Or maybe the brain? Thanks John.

The follower on the left is a very late WWII Remington follower. It appears as though someone neglected to stamp an "R" on it. It wouldn't be the first time.

    Hope this helps.
