    SRS Needed

I need a SRS for Ser No 1,497,364.

I think it is a NM as it has a 1937 Star Gauge barrel and NM trigger.

I have a C stock with a SA SPG cartouche with the drawing number D-1836 and in back of the drawing number is stamped 1497163, must have been on a NM rifle

    Thanks!! You made my month.

I don't have any pics. Right now it is a barreled receiver with a trigger and triggerguard. I bought the gun at a pawn shop and it was heavily sporterised. I am going to return it to original configuration. Will post a pick when the build is complete.

The pre-war C-stock will cost ya', but I'd do the same thing.

Would all NM have the S/N on the stock? I recently took off a demilled Remington M1903 a C-Stock with Proof but no inspection marking and no "NM-S/N" (all hidden under a thick black dirt, grease and oil cover).

There are still deals to be had on pre-war C stocks, I recently snagged one on ebay in excellent condition with the original finish and all markings intact for less than $250 shipped.

The vast majority of Type C stocks were made for "service rifle" use, not for National Match rifles. Did the Type C have an S or a K in the recess for the cutoff?

Vintage hunter, you mean this C-Stock on eBay?

Rick, nothing much left on the stock to say if there ever was a K or a S in the cutout, see yourself.

The photos that Promo attached look to be a WWII C-stock.
