Ejection Leaf

The ejection leaf on my 1910 Ross has been worn? or modified so that it will not eject a cartridge. It is held by a blind pin that quick sheared off when I tried to pull it. Is there some slick way to either extend the leaf or remove the pin (diamond hard almost)? thanks for your help.

The Ejector on the Ross Rifle is spring-powered.

Have you checked the SPRING?

You might not have to mess with the Ejector itself.

You need to drive out the trigger axis pin. It's about 3/16 diameter and tapered on one end. Then the trigger will come off, and you can look up into the boss on on the ejector side and see the blind pin that the ejector pivots on. It is held in place by the trigger axis pin. With a pin punch you can then tap the pin down and remove the ejector.

As mentioned by Smellie, you may have lost the small coil spring that keeps the ejector against the bolt. Should be easy to find something that will fit.
