I've got a R.I.A. 7.62 NATO M1icon barrel stamped "AFPG". It was pictured in the GCAicon Journal, Volume 24, issue 3, Summer 2010.

The R.I.A. barrel that I have is marked on the right side " 7.62MM R.I.A. 11686320. SPL. 6.69 . M118 P M DOD". The twist rate is not noted. Bill Ricca in his Summer 2010 GCAicon article on 7.62mm barrels states they are 1 in 12 , but that he can not confirm that.

Tsk, tsk, tsk... it would be the best $25 you ever spent. We are about to travel to CMPicon to research the 200 or so AFPG guns they have, and the results will be written up for a Journal article in the spring.

Phil is correct, it's Air Force Premium Grade and that was their term for "National Match."
