My "New" SC 1903A3

I have been wanting a 1903A3 for awhile. Yesterday, I found it.

It is from 9-43. I was looking for a shooter for matches. Today, I headed to the range to find out how she'll do. After a few shots to get an idea for the necessary sight picture, I was putting them into the 10 ring of an SR-1 with consistency. I was using Korean surplus. I have had really good results with this lot of ammo in my Garand. With the SC, my point of aim was slight line of white at 6.

After that, I tried some of the Hornady Garand ammo. It shot even better. I was able to hold center with this ammo.

After shooting for groups from a rest, it was time to shoot standing. The results were very promising. Eight of my last 10 shots went into a group just under 4MOA. The other two were out, but they were on call. I could not be more happy with this rifle. I should be very well equipped for upcoming matches.

Congratulations on your rifle! And, again on it being a good shooter. Those "obsolete" steel & wood rifles more than hold their own with the "modern" ones. Very satisfying!

Geat to hear AR-180. My 03A3's are my favorite rifles to shoot of all my milsurps.
