L42,No4T specs

Gday everyone,
I am building a repro L42 to as close as I can original specs.
I need the tech data and or drawings showing how they did this at Holland and Holland. I have Peters book on the No4t-An Armourers perspective and gleaned a fair bit out of that but would like the actual processes etc explained. I have a fair understanding of why they did things as they did and hope to come as close as possible to do the same.
Any help appreciated.

Since much of an L42A1 is essentially a converted No.4 Mk1(T) sniper rifle, check the Technical Articles for Milsurp Collectors and Re-loaders (click here)

There's a library entry titled Blueprints and Specifications for the Enfield No.4 Mk1(T) Sniper Rifle (click here). A lot of those drawings may be applicable.

Courtesy of "mudpuppy" with additional feedback from "Cantom", there's MOD Pattern Room blueprints from the 1940/50's for the scope mount, pads, pad screws, thumb screws and cheekpiece, plus instructions on how to properly mount the cheekpiece.

Those are exactly what i needed. BUT the printing and or copying quality is not there. I cannot make out what some of the critical measurements are.Is there any better quality scans or copies availiable?

Do you know the diameter of the barrel at muzzle I'm looking for the diameter the reduction to fit the front sight mount and the diameter at rear of the mount ( full barrel diameter ) , i did a few search and get only the length but not the diameters..

Hi Ned...

Ok, I received a response from the original donator and he's "in the field" during the next 4 months. He's not in a position to access and work on these, but he indicated that when he returned to home base, he'll do what he can to clean up and improve all of the drawings, based upon the originals.

Also, we've offered to help financially if it requires outside resources to do this.

Sorry it can't be sooner, but in our hobby, patience tends to be the name of the game.
