    Hep with bayonet

Can anyone help me identify what type of bayonet this is? I have looked everywhere and cant find anything on it. Any idea what it is worth?

    Thanks!

It's an Italianicon folding bayonet. I'm sorry I don't know the model.

Can you suggest a safe way to clean it up a bit?

Steel wool and oil. Wipe and lightly oil. Don't use motor oil. By the way, it's the M1938 folding model for Mannlicher Carcano I think. I'm sure Carl will be here in a minute to sort us out.

Check BAyonet Collection Presentation for more.

First, welcome to our site trap121.

I use gun oil on my bayonets, but I'm not a knife expert. You might want to also post on the Edged Weaons forum near the bottom of the main forums page, There are some knife experts who frequent that forum and they also enjoy seeing unusual bayonets.
