    just got my mosin 91/30

    big day for me. i got my first ww2 surplus firearm. it is a ishvek 1943 mosin nagant m91/30 the stock is in good shape. it has some bad spots where the barrle bands came on and off. butt im happy. i dont have i camra to post pics of it but i will post a pic of a simaler one from the internet.


    the only thing difrent is the slots for the sling.

    Congrats! They are excellent rifles and deserve more credit as such than they are often given. Ishevsk rifles made in 1943 almost always show rough machining and fit and finish. This is because they had to turn them out faster than ever-a lot was happening in the Sovieticon Union at that time!

    Anyway, buy lots of ammo and shoot the heck out of it. That's what it was made to do!

    thank you for the kind words. i do not have a digital camra so i cant upload any pics of my rifle. if i did i wouldent even know how to. even though i am a teenager i am very technologicly impared. but i am lerning. i am not that goood of a speller either. my strong pint is art. i draw a lot. it makes up most of what i do at home. mostly i draw guns and people with guns. mostly i like the old stuff.

    Congratulations on your buy. Mosin's are one of my favorites and are a strong point of my collection. You can get a ton of surplus ammo for dirt cheap at rguns.net. Have fun shooting and tell us how it performs.
