    Krag Hand Guard

I just got my service grade Kragicon rifle from the CMPicon. It is in pretty good shape; muzzle where < 2, won't close on a no-go guage, no cracks around the bolt lug. Serial number is 453759 which puts it in 1903 and it has a nice 1903 cartouched stock and a 1902 second type rear sight. However is has the wrong hand guard and the only way the rear sight will fit is backwards.

I have tried all the usual suspects; Joe DeChristoper, S&S, Sarco, but no one has original hand guards. I also posted a WTB add here. Have I missed any angle, any other suggestions as to who to call?

    Thanks

    Howard

    Problem solved

I contacted the CMPicon customer service and they put me in touch with an armorer who sent me the correct handguard. Fits perfectly with the sight.

    hand guard

Going through some older posts and don't know if you are still in need of the part. Try emailing Dan Lowrey [url="http://www.oldewoodsman@bellsouth.net . I got one from him last year. John
