    Do you mean the picture of your Paratrooper?
    If so, I did see that he's strapped to the carbine case but can't tell if it's empty.
    Is that a jump case?

    My next door neighbor jumped into Germany with the 17th

    he's a great guy. He had nothing good to say about that unfortunate exercise. A jump into open country in broad daylight when the Germans knew they were coming. He said Axis Annie identified the units the night before they went in. I believe another of Montgomery's wonderful plans. Between Market Garden and this jump, he got a lot of valuable paratroopers killed for nothing. Worse, the US had already crossed the Rhine with Patton to the South and the capture of the bridge at Remagen, but Monty wanted HIS show.

    My father went in with the 17th....in a glider. At different times he was in the 82nd, 101st and the 17th.
    When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
