passing of the best 1911 pistols smith on the planet..Ikey Starks

yesterday i was givin some hard news. long time friend and teacher. Ikey Starks passed Dec 10, 2011,
Ikey was an awesome man, good Joe, a man of his word, i learned just about everything i know about 1911 pistols from the man..
those of you who knew him were blessed.. like me, had a rough personality at first but warmed up once you got to know him..his love for dogs, kids, and all things outdoors was inspiring.

And he wasn't only into 1911's.

As a rifle shooter, in 1973 he also won the Wimbledon Cup.

    He will be missed.

oh he was a shooting fool for sure, top of the line pistol and rifle shooter, he also ran me through the M1Aicon match prep program, as well as tought me all the tricks of the Remington 700 and 40X..he,s the reason i have a safe full of 700,s and love the 1911 pistol..as well as a addiction to large frame Smiths..
