1928 SA/RIA small parts ID help

I have a SA build on a RIA receiver, 426263, 8-28 SA barrel. War2 bolt. I have questions on the metal furniture, front band has "H" stamped under the bayo lug. Rear band has a "U" stamped on the right side center. The rear sight has "IA", very small, near the front.
    1/4 inch "S" stamped on front of fore-end, I think this is a war1 RIA S stock.
    Correct or mixmaster?

Maybe not a "mixmaster", but it sounds like some parts have been replaced. Sounds like you know the bolt and stock are not original.

Any other markings on the stock? How many bolts in the stock?

It's a S type with grasping grooves, two bolts. "DAL" in a rectangle on left side. Small "R" in cutoff notch. Old gal looks pretty good except the new Rem bolt. I've got a tip on a 28-29 NS marked bolt. Now if I can afford it.

    Chuck Thanks.

Might be an outside chance the stock is original.

your rifle shoul have a BF, B2, or other replacement SA bolt...a SA nickle steel bolt will feel sticky in that action... the BF bolt is likely your best bet.

    A 1/4" S indicates a pre-WWI RIA stock.

Chuck, a BF bolt dates from WWII. Not original for the late 1920s time frame. A RIA/SA hybrid would have a NS bolt of an earlier replacement.
