No go, Joe.
Picked up a sporter that was drilled and tapped for a M1913 musket sight mount. After speaking to the gentleman he told me he had the mount and screws. It was indeed a Warner and Swasey mount. The stock was cut perfectly for the mount. I plan on putting back to original spec. Thanks For the check. Joe.
There were quite several M1913 scoped rifles in that S/N range but nearly none of them were documented.
In the back of Canfields book, there are some rifles with 1913 W&S in that serial range that went to 1st Cavalry and RIA in the early '20's.
Sounds worth of a restore.![]()
Lately seen a M1913 with etched S/N inside of the rail 937.131 and M1913 for S/N 934.825. So it sounds reasonable that there could be one just right between them
€dit: Would you post pictures of that rifle?
Scope is on the way. I will post picts when I get it together. I left the sporter stock alone and am going to use a CMPstock I have. I just need a high hump handguard. It should be a cool rifle when it is complete. Joe.
Here are some picts of the stock. Bubba's grandpa got this one. JoeAttachment 30239Attachment 30240Attachment 30241Attachment 30242Attachment 30243
