    Sight protectors

    How does one remove the sight protector with out scratching the barrel?

    That's the down side of the sight cover. What I do is take a very fine stone or sand paper (like 1,000) and take the burrs off of the inside of the lip on the sight cover. Not much just the edge where it contacts, this will minimize scuffing and make installation/ removal easier. It's such a small amound that you can't hardly notice. Either that, or get a USMC cover and leave it on.
