I bought a new Remington Model 700 BDLVarmint rifle years ago, started using 5.56mm US surplus cartridges and the primers started to show a teat from the firing pin hole. Ended up returning this rifle to the dealer with Remington authorization. My friend had an identical Remington Model 700 BDL Varmint and also fired 5.56mm US surplus without any problem.
