    Twist rate for 6.5-06

What twist rate would be better for a 6.5-06 using the heavier bullets (140 gr and up) 1 in 8 or 1 in 9? --TIA

    8" twist

9" is a bit slower than the 220mm of a Swedishicon Mauser. It could be marginal for stabilizing bullets which are much longer than the usual 139/140gn. And the Sierra reloading manual gives all the data using an 8" twist. So I would use the 8" twist.
