Got my 2nd GI 1911A1 today

Bought an Ithaca last month, decided it needed a companion, so here is my Remington Rand, arrived today. Right grip panel is a Colt so I ordered a Keyes grip. Serrated MSH is too early I know, so I'm on the lookout for an 8 rib housing. Still..I think it's a nice addition. All I need now is a Colt and US&S (for WW2).

Very nice LE so that's what a real (not half and half )Rem Rand looks like.

Nice pistol LE, it looks way better than the pics the seller provided.

It almost looks brand new. Like my 2012 Auto Ordanance i just bought. Both a reflection on how well it was reproduced and how well yours was maintained. How hard was yours to find and a ball park price would aid me in my endevour to find one myself. Thanks

I bought it on Gunbroker for $1450. Seller said the previous owner had bought it as a DCM gun way back when and had kept it.

Thanks. I have a 2010 firearms book and experts say throw it away ( usually when the book price is lower than what their asking ) and that seems to be a good price for what looks like condition excellent. Good job.
