Hello,
I wanted to thankthe forum for my research into building a sporter 1903, this forum has everytihg I needed to build the ultimate hunting rifle. I located, hand picked, examined and installed every part for this rifle from the barrel to the recoil pad. Everything is custom made for me and I have had a great time building the firearm.
The stock:
Attachment 33119
The stock was a great find, the stock has to be at least 40+ years old, the swivels are really cool.
The Receiver:
Attachment 33125
Attachment 33120
The Receiver is made by Remington 9/1943, I have checked and re-checked the receiver for any issues, measured the receiver to find any problems, everyting checked out being excellent. All the internal parts are made by Remington. I only bought the parts with a R stamped on them.
The Barrel I re-parkerized:
Attachment 33124
Attachment 33121
The barrel is made by Remington, 9/1943 full size with the front sight still installed. When I crushed the barrel to the witness lines of the receiver the "no go" guage did not work, the measurements are factory and no problems with the barrel or receiver.
The scope assembly:
Attachment 33122
As you can see the scope assembly does not mount to the receiver by drilling holes. I hate seeing a receiver with the holes drilled into the top or side for a scope mount which is UGLY. This scope mount is solid on the receiver, the vintage Weaver scope is in excellent condition.
The Trigger guard assembly:
Attachment 33123
This is the origional parkerized trigger guard made by Remington, and in excellent condition.
EVERYTHING IS MADE IN THE USA
,
NOTHING IS FROM CHINA!
I checked every part on this firearm and it is all made in the USA, the: scope, scope base, stock, recoil pad, sling, swivels, rail mount, internal, external hardware, grip cap, no junk here.
Again thanks everyone for your help!
