At the age of 91 Joseph Lesniewski passed away at the VA Hospital on May 23 2012. Great guy!

I hate to see any of them go, it's like we know them personally now. I've lost enough friends, one more is almost too much...

The book and series were a fitting tribute to those men I would encourage anyone who has not read the book or seen the series to do both.Odd how reading a book and watching a movie can make their passing seem such a personal loss. RIP Joseph Lesniewski and all those who have proceeded him.
