Springfield Armory Model CF .922 cal. 22LR

    Hello everybody.
I found this Springfield Armory Model CF .922 cal. 22LR and I would be pleased to have your impressions looking at the photographs
    SPRINGFIELD 1903 cal. 22 lr

The owner is asking for € 2,500 about US$ 3,125
Is the price correct for this kind of rifle which seems to be hard to find in Italyicon ?
    Thank you.

Do you mean to say that stock and cartouches are not original ?

The stock itself looks OK to me, but the crossed cannon acceptance mark and the notch for the cutoff are not original. Does the stock have a circle P proof on the pistol grip, and is the bolt electro pencil numbered to the rifle?

Forgot to add, but it appears about $2000 too high in the U.S.

    Jim,

I noted the cut off notch as not being correct in my original post, but like the bad crossed cannons was added later.

Thank you all for your good advises.
For sure an M2 with fake cartouches and stock is not worth all that money.

I saw that Johnny I guess my question was did any of the 22 Springfields have any kind of cutoff notch. Mine doesn't - but i hate to generalize with a sample of one rifle

I have seen that squared off profile before on some .30 cal rifles but again i don't know if they were some sort of oddball replacement stock or a contemporary reproduction.

    Thanks

    Jim

i belive the stock, and markings are reproductions. and yes the rifle has been commercial reparked and done after it was imported, look close at the proof markings.
