    Found '03 interesting Ammo items

In a box of old stuff I had lying around for decades, I discovered two interesting items. A 30-06 round marked FA over 41 and a brass stripper clip marked P 25. I assume FA indicated Frankford Arsenal, but what is the significance of the P 25 on the clip? Any ideas what period the clip is from.Attachment 34684

Might actually be a Germanicon Mauser clip.

All the '03 US strippers I've seen have only two ears to a side . Did the M14icon have three ? Or maybe the FN 30-06 for thier rifle ?

M14icon only had two. They also made them from steel and later aluminum. Not brass. I agree that this one's not for the 1903.

Quite frequently I see people seeking stripper clips for loading the M1903, 03A0 or M1917 in rapid fire. The M14icon clip, (used with 7.62 ammo- with a slight mod), is excellent for the purpose and is/was readily available at a reasonable price. (I have a couple of hundred.) I have used the modified clips for years in big bore competition with Mod 70, 03,03A3, Remington 30S and Remington 40X across the course rifle. They work with 7.62 and 30-06. I can provide instructions and pictures to make the tool and the mod if anyone is interested.
