    The shot with the GI really shows the size comparison, I recall seeing a photo of a Marine tanker that had one of those tanks on the rear deck of an M4 (captured of course). I would think .50 cal AP would penetrate the side armor easily but would .30 AP from a HMG?

    Outstanding photos that Snafu and Mark in Rochester provide.

    I have a quantity of AP .30 bullets and you'd be surprised what they'll go through. I've been clanging them through just about everything a ball round won't go through. I think these little battlefield taxis are exactly what .30 AP are for.

    Great story (link works), and if I picked the right info the armor is 12mm or just under a .47", I do believe .30 AP could be hazardous to the tankers health.
